What is VoIP?
VoiP is ‘Voice over Internet Protocol’. Sends phone calls over the internet or via Internet Protocol rather than a traditional phone line.
What is SIP?
SIP is another acronym that stands for ‘Session Initiation Protocol’. SIP is a signalling protocol used for initiating, maintaining and terminating real-time sessions that include voice, video and messaging applications.
What is Cloud PBX?
A Cloud PBX is a telephone system with internet connectivity, stored on a server, located in one of our highly secure data centres, located in either Gatwick or Byfleet. We run, manage and maintain this service, so you don’t have the hassle of having to run it yourself.
Am I tied into a long contract?
No, not at all. We don’t believe in tying our customers into lengthy agreements and take a very dim view of many of our competitors who do. Our terms are very simple – it’s a rolling, 30 day contract. That’s it.
Do I own the equipment installed?
If you have bought handsets from us, they’re yours to keep. In terms of the Cloud PBX, you rent this from us on a monthly basis.
What is ISDN?
ISDN stands for ‘Integrated Services Digital Network’. This type of connection handles multiple telephone calls simultaneously. It’s the most common connection type used by medium to large businesses. It will generally link into a PBX
Are the various systems backed up?
Yes, we perform weekly and monthly backups and always have a backup of your system.
Do I get 24/7 Support?
No, we provide support from Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 6:00pm, excluding Public and Bank Holidays.
